Control System Associate

Assist the Control Systems Administrator with the management of the daily operations of the (24-hour) Narragansett Bay Commission (NBC) wastewater treatment facility(s) (WWTF’s) computer control processing systems to provide continuous monitoring, information recording/feedback, and control of processing and related operations. Verify, on a continuous basis, that all the components (hardware and software) of the computer-based WWTF process control systems are functioning to design specifications. Troubleshoot WWTF control system failures (e.g.: instrumentation, software, hardware, etc.) and within skill/authority, corrects deficiency(ies), including control system logic modifications Respond to emergency and 2nd/3rd shift requests for assistance related to WWTF control systems operations. Performs other duties as assigned within skill and experience capabilities.

IM Operator 11

Performs a variety of manual and semi-skilled tasks in the maintenance and construction of utility infrastructures, such as manholes, sewer lines, drains and other assets.  Cleans and inspects utility equipment such as basins, pumps, meters, sewers, regulators, generators, and other equipment.  Assists in completing appropriate paperwork regarding work activities.  Operates various equipment in the maintenance and cleaning of utility infrastructures, such as TV cameras, vactors, flushers, diggers, etc.  Assists other plan and utility staff with operations, repairs, and related maintenance.  Inspects the grounds and equipment of pump, septage and meter stations and related facilities.  Maintains and prepares vehicles and equipment for daily operations.  Performs a variety of manual labor in the maintenance of NBC grounds and facilities, such as shoveling snow and assisting with the maintenance and repair of equipment.  Performs other duties of similar nature or level.
