Traffic Impacts
One of the benefits of a deep rock tunnel for the NBC’s CSO projects is that the majority of construction will take place far underground. There will be, however, limited areas of above-ground construction.

When?
Construction on the project began in 2001 and will continue through 2007.

Where?
Areas that will experience above ground construction include Eddy Street/Allens Avenue, Davol Square/Point Street, Charles/Orms Street, Promenade Street and Ernest Street.

How will it affect me?
Different areas will see different types of construction. However, construction will generally require lane restrictions and may increase noise in the area. Click on the map for specific timelines and traffic impacts.
